Before Dawn

Before Dawn Drawings, 2018–2023 where created mostly before dawn, when the residue of dreams are still lingers. Developed as a daily drawing practice similar to a journal thy began alongside my collage work and gradually took on a life of its own.
Influenced by my surroundings in Kreuzberg and by current events, they incorporate elements of found images and text. Made in Berlin, Williamsburg, (Brooklyn) and Jackson Heights, (Queens).
Titles are very important role, often adding another layer of interpretation.
